About Us

Larry Roberts: Throughout my adult working career, I have dedicated myself to managing and assisting people from all walks of life. After obtaining my Masters degree from Sam Houston State University, I began a career in education. In a short period of time, I attained the position of Assistant Principal in the Conroe ISD. I then pursued a position as a Human Resource manager where I began a successful career for the next 20 years.

In 2002, I experienced a necessary change due to the economy. Even though my background was primarily in Human Resources work, I decided to obtain a Real Estate license. This allowed me to eliminate years of cross country travel required by my Human Resource position. It also provided me the opportunity to continue assisting people with one of the most important transactions we encounter as adults...buying or selling a home! During the past 7 years, I have achieved the multi-million dollar sales status as a Realtor in Montgomery County.

My family has always been my primary focus. I am proud of my wife of 30 years and the two children she brought into our lives. Missy, Bryan, and Anna Beth make up the Roberts clan. Bryan is a recent graduate of Texas A & M working in the oil and gas industry, while Anna Beth is scheduled to graduate from Sam Houston State University in pursuit of a career in education. We enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and of course the Frio River! Our family has been floating the Frio River for over 20 years.

Missy and I recently made a very positive life changing decision. We decided to move to the Frio River and start several businesses. We will be opening a Real Estate Brokerage in addition to our Frio River Vacation Rentals business. As you can imagine, each business will compliment the other. Our intent is to become active members of the community and develop a successful business that will add value to the area. We look forward to having the opportunity to meet and greet you with one thing in mind, providing you an unforgettable experience, time and time again!

Missy Roberts: I bring with me over 35 years of experience in jobs that have always been people oriented. Whether it was opening a new bank account, marketing the first ATM in Montgomery County, or promoting participation in the Newcomer Service, I know what it takes to make people feel comfortable. While working in education, with all grade levels, I acted as liason between students, parents, faculty, and the administration. Most recently, I managed the scheduling for a very busy orthodontic office. All of these positions challenged me to understand the needs of the "other person".

My positive approach to everyday life transfers to the perfect fit when greeting our guests at Frio River Vacation Rentals. My love for the Frio River makes me a natural to promote the Frio Canyon area and the activities offered year round. I also pride myself in understanding the needs of our guests and their families. I will strive to make their experience with Frio River Vacation Rentals a memory of a lifetime. Memories each guest will want to share with others and return year after year!

I currently handle reservations and accounting for Frio River Vacation Rentals. My intent is to make the property owner's experience one of ease and trouble-free. I treat each vacation rental home as if it were my own, continually looking for ways to improve the comfort level of our guests. I clearly understand that I have two very important clients; our special guests and our special homeowners.

From the simple things like finding a heart shaped Frio River rock, watching a shooting star across the night's sky, or dancing the night away at Garner State Park, each guest of Frio River Vacation Rentals will not only leave with great memories, they will have a new friend....and that would be me!
